First released in 2018 as an analog edition, this LP is the first Japanese release from Sony Music with imported domestic specifications (complete production limited edition), featuring 16 representative songs selected by the members themselves from their works from 1967 to 1994. The artwork was designed by Storm Thorgason of Hypnosis, who passed away in 2013. The LP is a 2LP set with newly designed obi and gatefold sleeve. For the analog release, the LP was newly remastered by James Guthrie and Joel Plant and cut by Bernie Grundman (180g weight vinyl). The title “A Foot in the Door” means “a first step” (from a door-to-door salesman who puts his foot in the door to get people to listen to him and keep them from closing the door).
